Little Ones Child Development Training Center International, founded in 1995 by Emily Lucinda Tutt in Maryland, is dedicated to supporting the care and development of both children and adults with special needs. The organization’s foundation is deeply rooted in faith. After picking up 25 cents, Ms. Tutt interpreted the moment as a reminder from God to serve the poor and those in need. Inspired by that sign, she established a daycare focused on love, education, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children could learn and grow.
Despite facing personal hardships, including homelessness and living in a shelter, Ms. Tutt remained committed to her mission and rebuilt the organization from the ground up. Through resilience and faith, Little Ones continued to grow and serve the community with the same purpose of helping those who need support and opportunity.
Over time, the mission expanded to Greensboro, North Carolina, where a non-medical adult day program was established to support mentally challenged adults. Today, Little Ones continues to grow by returning to its roots in Maryland while expanding its impact through community programs and international outreach, including initiatives connected to Mission 25 and efforts to support education and development in Liberia.
